4 Months and Growing...In more than one area!!!

I am 4 months pregnant and to date I feel that I have had a pretty smooth pregnancy so far! In fact I wasn't showing much until this week. I now have a pronounced pooch, and my boobs grew an entire cup size already.  I knew they were going to grow, but that fast? I'm a little worried about how much bigger they are going to get in the next 5 months....

I also had an ultrasound this week and was able to see so many new things, the baby's spine, kidney's, brain, hand and fingers, foot...but still to early to tell the sex.  It was a very cool ultrasound! Our baby was a dancing machine, and moving all over...I still can't wait to feel that first flutter or movement..hopefully this week.

So here how my pregnancy has gone so far.....

Morning Sickness-I feel that I have been extremely lucky so far!  I threw up 3 times early on until I figured out that I needed to eat something light right when I woke up in the mornings. I managed to figure out early on what worked and had no problems after that!

Cravings-So far I crave fruit!! Lots and lots of fruit!!  I have always enjoyed fruit, but not normally this much.  So I keep lots of fresh fruits on hand and nibble on them throughout the day.

Food Dislikes-There hasn't been really anything that I have had a problem eating, but for some reason I have not had any desire to eat raw vegetables.  Cooked vegetables are fine, but raw vegetables just haven't sounded appealing to me so far.

Maternity Clothes-I did break down and buy a pair of maternity jeans. They aren't totally necessary at this point since I can still fit into my normal jeans with the button undone, but man are they comfy!!  Other than that all other clothing fits fine...with the exception of my bras.  I had to break down and buy a bigger bra yesterday.  My husband thinks it is funny, and loves it...but I am a little anxious about how much bigger they will get over the next 5 months.

Most exciting moment so far-I think the most exciting moment to date still has to be the first time we heard our babies heartbeat and saw the first ultrasound. Although, recently at my last ultrasound this week, I totally teared up when I saw our baby's hand and fingers, and a perfect little foot!  Melted my heart!

Patiently waiting for-Jasen and I are patiently waiting to find out the sex of our baby! I am so ready to just find out!  We went to Baby's R Us the other day just to look around, and spent 2 hours in there! Although we had a great time, both Jasen and I left feeling overwhelmed and exhausted.  Poor Jasen was a little more tired and mentally drained than I was....I found it kinda funny.:)

What Jasen has been doing so far-Jasen couldn't be more excited!  He is now on his second father to be book, and reads it faithfully on his days off.  He rubs my belly, and puts his mouth right up to my belly and talks and has conversations with our baby.  Every day, he says "hi baby, I love you".  It is very sweet to see him so excited and so happy about our new adventure in life together. He has also been very patient with me and understanding that I need to go to bed early.  He recognizes now when to force me off to bed rather than let me fall asleep on the couch.  I am not sure who is more excited about this baby...him or I!!
