Do the Puyallup!!

A couple of days ago I took a personal day from work and spent the day with my family at the fair. It was such a fun day, spent with my two most favorite boys!
Hard to believe that just one year ago this is Karter at the fair....and that this is him now. Time is flying by so quickly....

The first stop was to get our Fisher Scone fix for the year.  Karter truly loved them!  So much so that I was trying just to get a picture of Jasen, Karter and the Fisher scone bag, when Karter reached right into the bag grabbed a huge bite, and thoroughly enjoyed it! Must get that from his Momma..because those are my favorite!!!

The next stop of the day was to see some of the animals in the animal barns.
So happy to see the sheep!!

After stopping by to see the sheep and the baby pigs we decided to wander the fair and see if there were any rides we could take him on this year.  Much to our disappointment he wasn't even allowed to go on the train ride on our lap.  Maybe next year..... So instead we stopped for a family photo.

The last stop of our day and the highlight of the day was taking Karter into the petting area.  His eyes lit up with delight and excitement as we entered the petting barn. I first showed him the baby chickens in the glass cage.  He got so excited, especially when I made the "bock, bock" chicken noise like we do at home with a book he has about Chickens.  You could see his little mind spinning as he made connections about all the animal pictures he had seen in books, come to life right in front of him.
Screeching with excitement!!

So curious!

After looking at the chickens Karter was able to go into the petting area.  There he was able to pet a baby chick, fluffy bunny, and even tried his hand at trying to catch a goat with daddy!
He was very eager to pet the chick!

I'm gonna get you!!

After a few short hours,  lots of smiles, laughs, and great fair food... our trip was a success.  I think the picture below, was the best indicator of all that he had a great time!

Completely exhausted from a day full of fun...and firsts!!
