Hi there!! Hope this blog post finds you all well, and hope that you all had a wonderful holiday season with your loved ones. Jasen and I had a wonderful time this year celebrating our 1st Christmas with Karter in our lives.
Before Christmas we did a few things together as a family. One day we were itching to get out of the house so we drove up to Port Townsend for the day. It was one of those beautiful sunny crisp winter days that Washington occasionally has. We ate lunch, walked the shops, took some pictures, and just plain enjoyed our time together. Here are a few pictures from our trip.

A few days before Christmas we finally made it to see Santa. We weren't sure if we were going to make it or not because the sick bug ran rampant through our house and every time we wanted to go one of us didn't feel well. Here are some pictures from Karter's first time seeing Santa. I think he did wonderful!! :)

This year we spent the 23rd at Jasen's dads and stepmoms celebrating an early Christmas. We exchanged presents and had a great Turkey dinner. Karter thought the best part of the presents was the paper!

Christmas Eve my family always gets together to open 1 gift. Every year my mom gets us Christmas jammies, and her kids get her jammies. It has been a tradition since I was little and it is looked forward to every year. This year my family came to our house to have dinner, open Christmas jammies, and then we all went to Christmas Eve church service together. It was a really nice evening spent with family.

Later on that afternoon once Jasen woke up, we headed back to mom for Christmas dinner. Mom worked hard in the kitchen to make a yummy prime rib dinner! I love Christmas dinner, and have totally gotten accustomed to eating prime rib. My sisters boyfriend and my dad came to dinner this year. This was the first time in a long time that we had sat together at dinner. It was a nice day that turned out better than I had anticipated. Here are a few pictures of our Christmas Day.

A few days after Christmas we got good news about my dads health. Prior to Christmas he had surgery on his face for cancer. After removing the cancer and a lymph node the results came back that the doctors were able to get all of the cancer. They still want to do a full body scan just in case. But that was a huge relief for us all.
My uncle Larry is still having chemo treatments for his cancer. Today is his last round of chemo and then we should have his results in a week or so. Please keep him in your prayers.
Since the next blog I write won't be until next year I am sure, I wanted to wish you all a safe and Happy New Years!! Take care, and I will write more in 2012!!!
