New and exciting things.....

Over the last few weeks there have been some new and exciting things happening in Karter's growth and development. It amazes me everyday just how much he is learning, and how brave he is as he tries new things.

About a month ago Karter began talking and saying what sounded like "ma ma, or mum mum".  He would normally do it when he wanted to be picked up out of his crib, or especially when he was hungry and wanted me to feed him.  Jasen didn't really believe he was purposely saying it until a few weeks later after watching this video I caught of Karter.  There is no mistake now that Karter's first word was "Ma Ma".  (Sorry it is turned sideways, I can't figure out how to make it rotate)

Karter has also been very active rolling continuously, reaching and grabbing for things, talking and giggling, and trying to copy our facial expressions that we make.  He also has become very fascinated with our dogs Chloe and Tucker.  Below is a video of my best friend Tricia holding him. I love watching him giggle at the dogs!!

New developments for Karter:

• He has finally started on solids (had to hold off for a while due to his GI issues).  He has tried rice cereal and oatmeal, applesauce, and squash all of which he seems to like. 
•  He loved watching the dogs and petting the dogs
• He rolls constantly on his tummy time mat, and loves to push himself up with his arms, and raise his bottom 
• Has 4 teeth now
• Is now is 6 month clothes, and size 3 diapers
• Loves reading books and likes turning the pages on his own and gets frustrated if you do it for him

 Things that we are looking forward to this next month:

• 6 month old pictures with Steve Schmidt
• Going to the beach as a family for a little getaway 

• Jasen and I are going on a Valentines Day date night out!! Much needed
