So I am finally getting around to Karter's 6 month post and he is now almost 7 months! Gosh time just seems to be moving so quickly. My days seem so busy with the everyday grind, and my evenings seem even shorter.
Karter started a new daycare this past week and things seem to be going well so far. Every morning I still tear up as I drive away from the daycare and head into work. I am beginning to think that I am going to be one of those moms that this won't get easier for. It's not anything with the daycare, in fact he seems to love all the toys and other babies there...it's just that he is growing so quickly and I feel like I am missing out on precious, irreplaceable moments with him. Along with making new friends at daycare, he has also made friends with the germs as well, as he is battling a bad cold.
Jasen and I just can't get enough of him. He is so curious, babbles all the time, and is definitely Mr. Independent. We find ourselves laughing at him and all the facial expressions he makes now. His little personality has definitely been presenting itself lately. We are also amazed just how quickly he is growing.

Along with growing bigger, Karter's hair is finally growing and filling in too! The other night before bath time I thought it would be fun to spike Karter's hair into a Mohawk. By the facial expressions in the pictures below, clearly mommy and daddy enjoyed it WAY more than he did!

Last weekend we went away to the beach for a night. My mom joined us for a getaway as well as to help us with Karter Saturday evening so Jasen and I could have a date night. Saturday mom and I went to the spa for a scalp and head massage and a little relaxation in the steam room and sauna, while Jasen and Karter went swimming in the pool. Then Grammy and Karter hung out while Jasen and I went to a nice dinner (it was wonderful), and then gambled a little. Later that night my mom and Jasen went back to the casino while I took care of Karter and slept. The next morning we all had a nice breakfast together and then headed home. We had a wonderful time, and was a much needed getaway for Jasen and I. Before leaving the beach we had to take a few pictures, but it was VERY windy and cold so we didn't walk the beach or anything like that. Maybe in the summer.....
